The Boys’ Brigade is a Christian Youth Organisation with over half a million members world wide. The objective of the BB is “The advancement of Christ’s kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.”
BB is open to all children and young people aged from 5 to 18 of any faith and background.
Session Information
- Anchor Boys (P2 - P3) - Keyword is fun. They play games, make craft and learn about Jesus.
- Junior Section (P4 - P6) - We promote a safe, caring environment where boys follow a varied programme of sport, craft, community and learn about Jesus.
- Company Section (P7 - S6) - A full programme of activities including sports, interests, camps with the opportunity to gain the highest BB award, the Queen's Badge.
The Boys’ Brigade 65th Edinburgh (Currie) Company
The 65th Edinburgh (Currie) Company is attached to Currie Kirk and meets each week in the church hall.
We offer a fantastic and varied range of activities for boys and young men aged 6 – 18 years old.
With nearly 60 members and an extended Boys’ Brigade network of over 50,000 throughout the UK, we offer fun, adventure and friendship.

Age: P2 - P3
Day: Thursday
Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Juniors
Age: P4 - P6
Day: Thursday
Time: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Anchors (P2 & P3) and Juniors (P4 - P6) have lots of fun doing different activities which include craft work, music, games, sports, stories, going on visits, making friends and working towards their badges. The Anchors and Juniors meet on Thursdays in the Gibson Craig Halls.
Company Section
Age: P7 - S6
Day: Sunday
Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm
The Company Section (P7 - S6) meets on Fridays in the Gibson Craig Halls and the boys participate in a wide range of activities including cookery, drill, web design, piping, photography, bicycle maintenance, pool, table tennis and various team games such as football and unihock. Piping tuition is given to boys from P5 on request on a Sunday evening in the Gibson Craig Hall.
