The Thursday Club provides day care for older adult with dementia one day per week.
The atmosphere is one of fun and laughter and provides a great deal of satisfaction.
Calton Welfare Services offers a safe and friendly place for older adults who enjoy company, who may feel isolated and alone and want to get out of the house for a day and to do something different - just for a change.
Calton Welfare Services offers opportunities for you to socialise and to have fun through a variety of activities held each day. From time to time we also provide outings and other special activities.
Activities
Games, gentle exercise, outings, quizzes, art & crafts, guest speakers and information sessions etc. We also organise outings to places of interest and hold an annual Burns Day.
Food
Meals during the day include morning tea/coffee and toast, a light lunch and afternoon tea and biscuits.
Transport
We can pick you up and drop you off if seats are available on the transport we provide. Alternatively, you can make your own way to us or travel with your carer.
