Have you lost your spouse? Have you been ill? If you feel you need to get out of the house, we can help you, all you need to do is get in touch.
We are a social club meeting weekly between mid Jan to end of April and beginning of September to mid December.
We have up to 90 members but even though there’s so many people we are still a friendly crowd!
You will be made very welcome by Jenni and her team of helpers.
Like any family we celebrate milestones in every single member’s life whether that be birthday or the birth of a grandchild or engagement & on the week of their birthday every member gets a handmade birthday card!
Once a month we have a raffle, with a variety of prizes to be won.
We celebrate Burns day, Christmas & a few other special days with a meal. Tickets are available from the club at £8. At our last meeting before Christmas Santa always manages to call into the club before his marathon delivery round the world.
We also have different entertainers every week from guitarists, keyboard players, duets up to choirs. Every week is different. We celebrate birthdays, the birth of a new grandchild or a special wedding anniversary. Each member receives a handmade birthday card on their special day. With a homemade cake for special birthdays over 90
There's a cafe within the foyer which sells various drinks and food. Folks often have their lunch before the club.
Our meetings are in the Anderson Hall within the Kirk halls opposite the church on the Thursdays.
If you need it, transport can be provided – just ask!
Despite having 80+ members we still have firm friendships. We are always looking for new members.
