Become a Volunteer

Volunteers are a key asset to life at NEDC. However much time you have available, we would love to see you and allow you to share your passion, enthusiasm and ideas with our Members.

Become a Board Member

The NEDC Board of Directors are always recruiting for new volunteers to join them. This is an exciting opportunity for people from a wide range of backgrounds, skills and experience to make a difference in their local community. If you would be interested in joining our wonderful team and becoming a board member, please phone us on 0131 553 7147 for further information.

Our staff are supported by Volunteers who are a key asset to the organisation, bringing different skills that assist in the daily running of the centre. Some of their roles include preparing and cooking meals, washing dishes, helping run daily activity groups, gardening, DIY, admin tasks as well as assisting with our transport to collect members.

We continue to work towards retaining our Investors in Volunteers Award which shows how much we appreciate the support of our Volunteers and the contribution they make to our service delivery.

BENEFITS OF VOLUNTEERING

- Learning new skills in a different arena
- Chance to meet new people and share interests
