information DESCRIPTION

Creative arts for young people. Drama, Drumming and Delight.

A.R.T's Afternoon was formed in 1996. Since then it has gone from strength to strength... supporting young people to be involved in the arts and to be active participants and creators of drama shows. The drama club has put on 21 productions since A.R.T's Afternoons' inception.

In 2005 A.R.T's Afternoon became the home of Pulse of the Place. Pulse had developed under the initial stewardship of Mary Walters through the Theatre Workshops and Matt Clements and Olivia Furness from the Big Drum Adventure. Pulse of the Place has a remarkable story with many trips to perform including; Liverpool (during its period as European City of Culture), Glasgow's West End Festival, Leith Tattoo and being invited to perform at the Olympic Park in 2012 during the Paralympics.

We are at the start of a new chapter where we are looking for exciting collaborations with dance schools... Things are starting to happen again.
