Balerno Village Screen is a community cinema, in South-West Edinburgh, offering free cinema admission. We are funded by donations.
We were set up in December 2012 and aim to show films to the village of Balerno using a public video screening licence (PVSL). We are a non-profit making organisation run by volunteers. We show films monthly and it is our intention to screen a children’s matinee, an early evening film and a later evening film.
Our supporters:
A big thank you to our supporters. The screenings would not take place if it were not for the help and support of:
- Balerno Parish Church
- The Mill @ St Joseph’s
- Balerno Post Office
We screen films in The Ogston Hall or St Joe’s Hall which has been recently refurbished and provides a high standard of accommodation and facilities.
Tickets are free and there are no online booking fees. We ask you to register in advance to allow us to manage the numbers attending each screening.
For each screening, tickets can be reserved via our online booking page (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/balerno-village-screen-3363970102) or can be collected from the Mill Cafe or from Balerno Post Office. Details of upcoming screenings are available from our Screening Calendar page at https://balernovillagescreen.com.
