Buckstone Youth Club is a friendly and relaxed place for Primary 5-7 children living in the Buckstone Area.
At the club the kids can play games, make crafty things, bake, hang out with their friends and lots more!
Buckstone Youth Club is held at Buckstone Primary School and is open to all of Primary 5, 6 and 7 living in the Buckstone estate. So even if you live in Buckstone but don’t go to Buckstone primary School you can still come along!
For the past 10 years the club has been run by one very important person. Many people on the estate know her and without her putting in her 110% 24/7 the club would not be able to run! That person is the one and only Margaret Walker! She makes every Monday run so smoothly and all the kids get on with her great!
Margaret won Scotland’s “Part-Time Youth Worker of the Year” last year throught the Youth Link Awards in Glasgow. A very well-deserved award and a great achievement!
The club is run by our great volunteers who come up every Monday night and help out.
They do a great job!
Our sister club is the Buckstone Youth Project which is a friendly Youth Project in the south of Edinburgh open to Secondary School age teenagers. They have a wide selection of activities available, in addition to this we often go on outings for even more activities including Go Karting and Laserquest.
The Buckstone Youth Project meet every Thursday in the St Fillan's church hall.
