information DESCRIPTION

Welcome to the Carrickvale Sequence Dancing Club.

Carrickvale Sequence Dance Club meets every Friday throughout the year, running from 1.45 p.m. till 3.45 p.m. You'll find we provide a varied programme of social sequence dancing, featuring mainly the older well loved dances, and one or two of the newer simpler ones.

You're sure to like the varied choice of the best in social sequence dance music we select, and you'll be using the main hall at the Carrickvale Community Centre - a good-sized floor for dancing, and well-maintained for us by the centre staff. The centre features also include a small café serving tea, coffee, and a snacks menu.

Other dance activities at the centre include line dancing, and children's dance classes, on different days and times. Details are available from the centre.

SOCIAL SEQUENCE DANCE PROGRAMME:

We often teach new dances, or revive older dances during the main dance programme each week, from approximately 1.30 p.m. All welcome. It is included in our nominal dance charges - there's no extra cost for tuition.

You'll find we offer you a varied easy, popular and social dance programme at our weekly Friday tea sequence dances. These dances are selected from, but not limited to, the typical current listing below, and you'll find we also like to introduce new dances from time to time as we find suitable ones, or re-introduce older dances at the request of our members.

Leading, demonstrating and teaching at Carrickvale Sequence Dance Club, Mel and Ella are fully-qualified dance professionals with many years of dancing experience, both as amateur competitors and professionals.

Visitors are always welcome and you'll find we're a friendly bunch who like to make folks feel part of the club very quickly.
