Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association Ltd was formed in 1979 and is now firmly established as one of the most respected providers of housing and related services for older people in Scotland. It is a Scottish charity and is run by a Committee of Management comprising up to 15 voluntary members. The Association is registered with The Scottish Housing Regulator as a social landlord.
Hanover specialises in the development and management of purpose built housing for older people and most of its housing is sheltered housing. As well as sheltered housing the Association also provides amenity housing for less frail older people, very sheltered housing and housing with care for frailer older people and general needs housing for families and single people.
We provide a range of housing and tenure types to meet the different support needs of older people, allowing them to retain their independence within a local community and enjoy as much privacy or company as they wish.
We have 3 Sheltered Housing complexes in Edinburgh.
St Margaret's Court Sheltered Housing Complex...
St Margaret’s Court is located in Juniper Green on the outskirts of Edinburgh and within a few minutes drive of Edinburgh Airport.
The village of Juniper Green is situated on the banks of the pretty Water of Leith river. The development itself is situated on the site of the old St Margaret’s Church and retains some of the original features of the church as it’s communal lounge, which is also used by the local community.
There are 28 one-bedroomed flats, situated over four levels, all served by a lift. The properties all benefit from double glazing and a gas-fired central boiler which provides a constant supply of hot water to all properties.
