Leith Academy is a six-year, comprehensive, community school, with almost 1000 pupils and over 2800 (part-time) adults enrolled. It was built in 1991, and offers a wide range of learning opportunities in a modern, attractive environment. The school is committed to raising expectations and standards amongst our young people and adult learners. We also aim to provide opportunities which will enable learners to make the best of their skills, abilities and talents, and experience a sense of achievement.
A learning opportunity for everyone.
Our courses are all about exploring and developing your own skills or trying something completely new. They are fun, interesting and sociable, and are taught by skilled tutors who will make your experience as fulfilling and enjoyable as possible.
We celebrate the richness in diversity of our community, its many social and racial groups, religions and beliefs, and welcome students from all backgrounds and ethnic origins. We provide, where reasonable and practicable, an environment that does not discriminate against people with disabilities, and we continue to improve access and services for disabled students.
