Move On Scotland work with vulnerable young people and people affected by homelessness to help them unlock their untapped potential.
We believe everyone has the potential to secure a job, manage money, sustain a stable home and live a fulfilling and independent life. We help people achieve these goals by providing mentoring, peer education, training, volunteering opportunities, guidance, information and advice.
Our services enable people to develop life and employability skills, build positive social networks, grow in self-confidence, gain qualifications and sustain a job.
Many of the people we support have been, or are at risk of becoming, homeless, face issues such as poor mental health, substance misuse, debt, lack of qualifications, or have been in trouble with the law.
Many also share broader needs such as low self-belief, loneliness and isolation, lack of positive social networks and no personal goals.
We recognise that individuals need to be in control of deciding and achieving their own goals, so we offer services flexibly allowing for different needs.
We have offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh city centres, a wood recycling workshop in Granton, Edinburgh
