Port Edgar Watersports CIC is the largest watersports and activity centre in Scotland.
From sailing to powerboating, from beginners to advanced we are here to help you get out on the water. We are passionate about watersports and our dedicated staff ensure a warm welcome and a high quality experience for everyone.
Social Enterprise
We are a social enterprise and passionate about offering watersports opportunities to everyone. Port Edgar Watersports CIC was set up as a Community Interest Company (CIC) limited by guarantee because we want to use the Centre to make a positive social difference in the world. The assets are locked in to the business and any profits generated are used to upgrade equipment and fund opportunities for people with physical and learning disabilities. We also have a particular interest in providing opportunities for people who are involved in the care system in Scotland. Working with key partners these opportunities include providing access to our activities, watersports qualifications and work experience.
Adults Activities
At Port Edgar Watersports we offer a wide range of sailing and power boating courses from beginner right through to advanced and instructor level. We also run a variety of paddle sports courses in kayaking and SUPing for all abilities. There’s no better way of getting into water sports than with our team of highly experienced instructors.
Junior & Youth Activities
Watersports are a good way to improve fitness, strength and coordination, they also offer a sporting alternative to children who are not keen on ball games or competitive sports. They’re confidence builders too, with children working their way through different skills levels. We supply all the equipment from wetsuits and buoyancy aids to boats. The children just need to bring some enthusiasm and a willingness to get wet!
Shore Bases Courses
If you spend much time on the water – either as a commercial operator or a frequent sailor – it’s a good idea to arm yourself with as many skills as possible. From first aid to diesel engine maintenance, and sea survival to navigation, our shore-based courses are a great way to gain new skills or qualifications. As well as preventing minor mishaps from turning into major ones, they could open up new career options, or let you plan some more ambitious sailing voyages.
