DESCRIPTION
We bring together the main Churches in their work to eliminate homelessness in Scotland. We connect the Churches with a major social problem, which affects some 80,000 people in Scotland each year. We link local problems of homelessness with national means of tackling them.
Who we are
Scottish Churches Housing Action brings together 12 Christian denominations and organisations in Scotland, all with a commitment to ending homelessness.
Scottish Churches Housing Action believes there can be a Scotland free of homelessness.
This means everyone can live in homes which
- They can afford
- Offer comfort and dignity
- Offer support appropriate to the needs of different stages of their lives
- Offer a place in a positive community.
Scottish Churches Housing Action exists to equip and support the churches in their work towards this vision.
What we do
Scottish Churches Housing Action helps churches and others make practical responses to the challenge of homelessness in Scotland.
