The Vat Pack

The Rat Run is a Community built Mountain Bike trails and tracks in woodland near Port Edgar, South Queensferry.

We are in the process of building our new mountain-bike track (a work in progress) called The Vat Run. This is the bit of woodland that lies west of the Forth Road Bridge and backing onto Port Edgar Marina.

The track is named The Vat Run in recognition of the old whisky distillery site that was once situated nearby. Some of our track is built on their disused railway access line.

There is one trail right now and a pump track but there are plans to build more.

The Vat Pack is the group of volunteers who have helped build it, support it, use it, or take a general interest in it.

We hold regular volunteer work sessions. Anyone and everyone is welcome along to join us - the camp fire is always burning and the kettle always hot....
