The EVOC Red Book

The online directory to find third sector Organisations, and their services across Edinburgh

Directory of local groups/projects who are offering specific support during the current COVID-19 pandemic »

In line with Government advice, most groups and organisations in the city have had to take the unfortunate decision to suspend face to face and group work activities. Please telephone or email the contacts listed for the group or organisation if you are interested in their work to check what alternative arrangements might be available or to find out about alternative groups or services in your area.

The Almond Supper Club is for older people with dementia and their unpaid carers such as; husband, wife, brother, sister or friend of a similar age.

This service is provided for people living in the communities of South Queensferry, Dalmeny, Kirkliston, Newbridge, Ratho and Ratho Station.

The aim of the Supper Club is to provide a supportive, friendly and social environment for the carer and the person they care for, to enable them to share some quality time together without the strain of the caring relationship.

Whilst at the club people will be able to enjoy a meal in a comfortable setting, meet others, connect back into community life and have an opportunity to participate in some fun activities or entertainment.

Support will be provided by two members of staff and a team of volunteers.

If needed, transport will be provided to arrive at the Haven and to take people home when the club finishes.

Dining in - £2.50 per person
Dining out - £4.50 per person
