information SERVICE DETAILS

Thistle Blues Dancing is a weekly blues dance class in Edinburgh.

These classes are drop-in, beginner friendly sessions and will teach you not only how to dance blues dances but also about blues music, culture and history.

*WHEN* - 8:30pm every Thursday.

The class lasts about an hour and then we will have some time for social dancing / chatting so you can practice what you learned in class and ask any questions.

*HOW MUCH* - Each class is £6 (£4 for students). Or you can buy a class pass card; 5 classes for £25 (£18 for students).

CASH ONLY (class pass cards can be purchased via bank transfer in advance, PM me for details)

*IN CLASS* - No partner is required and everyone will get the opportunity to dance with each other in both lead and follow roles. Wear comfy clothes and shoes.

*CODE OF CONDUCT* - We have a zero tolerance policy on harassment. Everyone has a right to enjoy themselves free of racist, sexist, homophobic & transphobic abuse.

Since blues dancing often involves connecting in close embrace (a body to body connection between partners) consent will be prioritised at all times. Everyone has the right to say no to a dance and that right must be respected.
