information SERVICE DETAILS

Collective Advocacy brings people together to talk about their experiences.

We work together with people in Edinburgh with lived experience of mental health issues, supporting them to:

- Discuss issues which are important to them and find common ground
- Campaign and raise awareness about the issues which are important to them
- Have a stronger influence on the planning and delivery of services in Edinburgh
- Feed into policy at a local and national level
- Use their valuable experience and expertise to make a difference for other people with lived experience of mental health issues

There are a variety of different ways you can contribute to collective advocacy, and you don’t just have to stick to one way, you could do all of them.

Come along to one of our Edinburgh Community Voices groups...

These are open meetings for anyone with lived experience to discuss mental health and services in Edinburgh. Our face to face meetings run on the third Thursday of the month, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. They currently take place at The Eric Liddell Centre, 15 Morningside Rd, Edinburgh EH10 4DP. We also run an online group which takes place on Wednesday afternoons, normally the first Wednesday of the month, 2:00pm - 3:30pm.

Take part in a collective advocacy group at the service you attend...

We run collective advocacy groups at a number of services in Edinburgh, contact us to find out if there’s one running or if you’d like to start a group at your service.

Give us your views over the phone, text or videocall.

Give us your views by contributing to one of our surveys or peer research projects.
