SERVICE DETAILS
In addition to providing a Minibus Hire Service, LCTS also runs a number of scheduled Community Bus Routes in Midlothian.
Unlike our minibus services, the Community Buses are available directly to members of the public and holders of a National Concessionary Card or a Young Scot Card can use them on these services.

R2 – Dalkeith, Gorebridge, Bonnyrigg, Tesco (Eskbank)

R4 – Dalkeith, Lasswade, Loanhead, Sainsbury’s & ASDA (Straiton)
R5 – ASDA (Straiton), Bonnyrigg, Carrington, Temple, Gorebridge
A Community Bus provides a service in areas that are less well served by the commercial bus network. Although the Community Bus stops at bus stops along the route, it also covers areas with no bus stops, where passengers can board it on a hail-and-ride basis.
Fares (single)
- Adult: £1.80
- Child (under 16): £0.90
- Young person (16-18) with a Young Scot Card: £1.20
- National Entitlement Card holders (disabled people and people aged 60 or over): Free
