Qualified counsellors

CoCo is a safe and confidential space to access one-to-one counselling with a qualified counsellor.

A counsellor is professionally trained to help us explore and understand what we are going through without giving any advice, criticism or judgement about any situation.

The team consists of five counsellors working through the week, offering support in a wide range of issues such as:

- Relationship difficulties
- Unemployment
- Homelessness
- Bereavement, loss or pregnancy
- Isolation, anxiety, depression or stress
- Self-confidence and self-esteem
- Abuse or violence
- Childhood issues
- Workplace issues
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Gender identity
- Trauma

Services:

- We offer a fee-paying service that allows short or long-term counselling - £55 per session
- We offer affordable counselling to those who are unable to access counselling due to financial reasons - £10- £35 per session
- We offer a subsidised service for students - £35 per session

It is our policy never to turn anyone away if they are unable to pay.

You will be offered an initial appointment and if you would like to go ahead with counselling, you will be offered a weekly 50-minute session at the same time every week for up to 12 weeks. Within the fee-paying service, you have the option of long-term counselling.

​If the times you request are full, you will be put on a waiting list and contacted when a space become available.

All our counsellors are registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA) and follow the BACP ethical guidelines.

We offer sessions on:

Mondays and Wednesdays between 10:00am - 4:00pm and

Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:30am - 8:00pm.

Counselling sessions are only by appointment.
