Cubs

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform.

Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.

30th Craigalmond Cubs has 2 lively packs of 48 young people. The packs meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights between 7:15pm - 8:45pm in the Scout hall.

Fees...

Each group charges a fee (called subscriptions or subs) to cover the costs of running regular meetings. This covers venue hire, insurances and materials for activities. There're sometimes extra charges for special activities, camps and events. We try to keep our subs as low as possible. so that anyone can come to Scouts. If you need help paying subs, please speak to your leader.

How to Join...

Direct entry into Cubs is unlikely. We feed our 2 Cub Packs from our 2 Beaver Colonies and most children stay on. Places are only available when children leave the Cub Pack. We do run a Cubs’ waiting list and offer a few direct entry places per year.

If you would like to join one of our sections, please email us at 30thcraigalmond@gmail.com stating the name and date of birth of the child you would like added to the list. We would also suggest that you contact other local Scout Groups too, to increase your chances of joining The Scout Association.
