Libertus Services is an Edinburgh based charity dedicated to supporting people to live independently. We provide a registered Day Care service to local older people alongside a plethora of recreational, educational, cultural and social activities. Libertus Services is dedicated to empowering its’ Members to make informed choices and to engage with activities which offer a selection of physical activity, reminiscence, games and art as therapy. Following our most recent Care Inspectorate visit we were awarded Grade 6 “Excellent” for Quality of Care and Support.
The Day Service operates Monday to Friday 11:00am - 3:00pm with transport provided to all members.
Members can expect a freshly prepared nutritious two course meal during their visit, alongside teas, coffees and refreshments as required.

The service is funded by the City of Edinburgh Council, however Members are required to pay a daily contribution towards their placement of £9 – this helps cover the cost of meals and transport.
Referrals must come from the City of Edinburgh Council Social Work Department.

Whilst our focus is on day care for older people, we also provide fully inclusive recreational, therapeutic and educational activities for people of all ages living within the South East of Edinburgh.
