You are eligible for Garden Aid if:
- You are over 80 years of age
- You are over 60 years of age, and are in receipt of Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit other than single occupancy discount or a Council Tax Refund/Rebate.
- If you are not receipt of Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit you can chose to pay for the service
- You have a disability that prevents you from maintaining your garden and are in receipt of Housing Benefit of Council Tax Benefit other than the single occupancy discount or a Council Tax Refund/Rebate. (free service)
If there is someone in your household who is over 16 and able to maintain the garden for you will not be eligible for Garden Aid.
If you are a home owner or a private tenant and qualify for the service (ie meet the criteria described above) the price will depend on the size of your garden.
Prices range from £89 (including VAT) for a small garden with no hedge to £189 (including VAT) for a large garden with a large hedge. Very large gardens will be subject to higher fees.
First we will check you are eligible for garden aid. If you are eligible you will be notified by letter. This letter will also provide further information on when and how your garden will be measured and how the service will be priced.
