SERVICE DETAILS
Parish Nursing service is located at Niddrie Community Church. Aiming to share the love of God to those in the community by providing a healthcare service where all aspects of health are met; physical, mental, social, and spiritual.
The Parish Nursing service is managed by a registered Adult Nurse and runs 2 days per week, on a Monday and Tuesday.
On a Monday offer a weekly drop-in clinic and medical assessment from 12:00pm - 3:00pm. The medical assessment will look at physical health, mental health, and general wellbeing. We offer 30-minute appointment times with the option of a further follow up on a Tuesday or a following week.
Individuals can access a non-invasive physical examination of baseline observations such as blood pressure, heart rate and glucose levels. We will also consider mental health and wellbeing through general observation, conversation, and questions.
Alongside the drop-in clinic there will be an open area in the church café where people can relax and socialise, with a FREE weekly, healthy lunch provided to those who utilise the Parish Nursing service.
Pick up some essentials while you are here!! We always a small selection of tinned and dried food, tea/coffee, nappies and sanitary products.
Parish Nursing have partnered with GP Practices, District Nursing Services, private and third sector services and the local hubs in the Niddrie & Craigmillar area. These partner services will be a mutual referral point and link individuals to the appropriate further support.
