The Bongo Club a hi-tech multi-functional performance space, available for hire day and night. Owned wholly by an arts charity, the venue offers a range of potential hiring opportunities at surprisingly un-Edinburgh prices with student and ‘good causes’ discounts available.
Whether you need a venue for a club, live music, fundraiser, AGM or conference – The Bongo Club offers you the main performance space with stage and an upstairs room, both with their own bars and sound systems.
With a long tradition of holding fundraising nights for charities from Amnesty International to Cancer Research, these events work to raise money for their respective causes, and enhance awareness of their organisation.
Crew 2000 and MTV have used the venue for AGM’s and meetings, taking advantage of our hi-tech facilities to do digitally projected presentations.
During the day, our venue is ideal for rehearsals, workshops or conferences.
Our live capacity (main space) is 300 for an all-standing gig or 120 for an all-seater (but we also offer a combination) and we also offer the upstairs bar space (with a seated capacity of 60 or more for a standing event) as an independent hire for private parties etc on occasion.
We also have one of the nicest Smoking Areas in town at the back of the venue and an equally attractive Downstairs Bar. See pictures of all the spaces here.
DISABLED ACCESS
We’ve got ramped access to the main room and bar plus a disabled toilet on the ground floor.
