Housing Support enables vulnerable people to continue to live safely and independently in their communities. CHAI Housing Support staff achieve this by working with service users to develop personalised Support Plans, meeting their individual needs and creatively adapting what we deliver to best fit their individual aims and aspirations.
The Housing Support service is a city-wide service.
CHAI is part of two homeless prevention consortium's, one which includes Cyrenians, Penumbra, Cross Reach and Health in Mind, and the other which includes Four Square, Link Living, Penumbra, and Blackwood. Through these consortium's we deliver the service with Edinburgh City Council. It is possible to self-refer to our service, but the majority of our referrals are now received from Social Workers, health care professionals and homelessness services.
Referral forms can be downloaded at http://www.chaiedinburgh.org.uk/contact-us/refer-to-us.
Service User Engagement
We collect regular feedback from our service users to ensure we are meeting those needs and are committed to continuing to develop opportunities for service user engagement in the planning and delivery of the Service.
CHAI’s Housing Support Service is a Registered Care Service, and is subject to regulation by the Care Inspectorate. The Service was graded as ‘Very Good’ at the last Care Inspection.
