SERVICE DETAILS
Individual Membership of the trust is open to anyone anywhere who shares our aims and wants to help to conserve and promote the heritage of Portobello. Likewise, Associate Membership is available to organisations including corporate bodies.
We have no regular monthly meetings, but do have talks and events. Our original purpose in forming was to ensure that the damaged bottle kiln in Bridge Street, Portobello, which is the last remaining building above ground from the pottery industry in Scotland, was repaired, with work now ongoing and due for completion by the end of this year. We have 6 reproduction postcards for sale and a DVD called 'It always seemed to be sunny, Memories of Portobello'. We have also jointly produced an Architectural Heritage Trail Leaflet, which is free and available locally. Portobello Library has copies. There is no charge for any of our talks and events. We are always happy to welcome new members and have members around Scotland and in Australia.
