What we do
We try to represent all the residents in Morningside. We talk to the City Council and other public bodies about local problems and try to get them resolved. So if you are bothered about anything, from uneven pavements to policing, contact us or come to a meeting and tell us about it. We try to take the majority view about local issues, but you can help by telling us what you think.
One important aspect of our work is to monitor local planning applications and, where appropriate, suggest amendments or submit written objections.
Meetings and Minutes
We meet at 7:30 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of every month (except July) in the downstairs room at The Open Door, 420 Morningside Road. Meetings are chiefly to discuss issues of concern to local residents – but anyone is welcome.
Residents are invited to notify us at any time of local issues which they would like discussed at a meeting.
Local police officers generally attend our meetings and offer a confidential police surgery before the meeting (7:00pm - 7:30). This cannot be guaranteed because the officers assigned to attend are sometimes diverted to urgent duties elsewhere.
