Our Period Friendly Project was designed to provide FREE period products for women, transmen and non-binary people and who are experiencing homelessness. Scotland became the first country in the world to make it a legal right to access free period products in November 2020 and we are working with Glasgow City Council to ensure continuity of supplies to those who need them, in places they can easily access them.
Period Friendly Points are specific locations where women can access free sanitary and other products to use during their period.
The Points are in places that offer a clean, safe and private place with warm water. All Period Friendly Points have free tampons, sanitary towels, spare pants and wipes.
Our Street Team team carry ‘Period Friendly Pax’ when they are out on the streets of Edinburgh. The Pax contain enough period essential products for 48 hours protection, including: tampons, towels, wipes and spare pants along with information on where to go for more supplies.
