Life can be tough sometimes. If you are finding it hard to cope with a problem or life event, it might be helpful to talk to a member of our counselling team.
The Ps & Gs Counselling service provides a private opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe setting. Our trained counsellors are experienced in working with young people (16+), adults and couples. Our service is open to anyone, all faiths or none.
The counselling service office hours are:
Monday: 9:00am - 7:30pm
Tuesday: 9:00am - 7:30pm
Wednesday: 9:00am - 7:30pm
Thursday: 9:00am - 1:00pm
What does it cost?
Ps & Gs funds the counselling service to make it available to everyone. To enable us to keep running the service, we ask you to make a contribution, though we’re keen to make sure this is affordable to you. One way or another, we’d rather you came to talk.
If you earn...
Below £10,000 - £10
£10,000- £15000 - £20
£15,000- £20,000 - £25
Over £20,000 - £40
We’d appreciate... per session
Is Counselling for me?
Your first session of counselling gives you the opportunity to work this out with the counsellor. Your counsellor will chat with you to understand your needs and what you would like to get from counselling and they will give you some idea about what might be useful to chat more about. If you have concerns about this, it helps to let the counsellor know, so things can be taken at your pace.
In periods of high demand, we may not be able to offer an appointment immediately, so you may have to wait for your first appointment. We will try to match you with a counsellor as soon as we can and will generally give you a week's notice before your first counselling session.
To make a request for counselling, please fill our enquiry form at https://www.psandgs.org.uk/counselling. The information you give us is to help us match you with the most appropriate counsellor. All information will be sent directly to the counselling service and will be confidential.
We will send you an email acknowledging that we have received your enquiry, please check your junk folder if you have not received an email as sometimes they get sent there.
