Yoga is a complex and multifaceted entity, one which often gets reduced to workouts and sun salutations when viewed through a Western lens. In our classes, the goal is to use Asana the way it was designed to be used by Patanjali – the father of Yoga; as a small part of something much larger, a stepping stone to understanding ourselves.
Join Sophie at 6:00pm on Mondays via ZOOM for a Hatha session. Hatha is one of the more accessible styles of yoga. Work with the breath, still your mind and encourage better energy flow throughout your body.
What to Expect
Hatha flow class usually begins with a warm up, followed by some sun salutations and a new flow each week, based on a theme. Each class is an hour in length, excluding savasana (the meditative portion which usually lasts 10ish minutes) at the end of the class.
You will get more from these classes with a yoga mat or towel, some water and an open heart.
