Real Jobs is a supported employment service to help people with a learning disability, autism, long term health condition or other support need to find paid work. The service is funded by a variety of sources and therefore is free to use for the client and the employer.
In April 2019 Real Jobs Edinburgh and Falkirk have been awarded Autism Accreditation again, this time Advanced status.
Real Jobs has continued to provide specialist support for people with disabilities and health conditions into sustainable employment. We continue our work supporting employers to meet business aims through promoting diverse workforces. While this has not always been easy especially due to Covid-19, we are constantly meeting demands and adapting well to change as we support people to secure work, manage life in furlough or respond to changes at work such as new tasks.
We still accept new referrals and build stronger links with referral sources, mainly through video conferences. We also support clients with support needs and health issues through regular welfare checks, and have received positive feedback on how our support has helped to manage and reduce anxiety, stress and depression.
We also refer to other services such as benefits advice, foodbanks and crisis grants where needed.
