We get together on Thursday evenings (during School terms) for the enjoyment of playing music.
We attempt all genres – contemporary, pop, blues, jazz, marches, classic, film, TV – nothing will not be attempted. Whether or not we can play it as it is meant to sound is another matter!
Our philosophy is about the fun of getting together to play.
We have members of all abilities – from those who have just started to learn to those who are rather proficient on their instruments. Those that are less able are encouraged to start off playing one note in a bar and then as they get better to add notes in until they can play the whole thing!
We are always happy to welcome new members seeking experience and development of skills. Contact Moira for information about joining or come in to a rehearsal at Broughton St. Mary's Parish Church and see for yourself. We operate a 'try-before-you-buy' system: you're free to join at no obligation before making any commitment to the band. No audition necessary.
Even if you simply want to get playing that wind instrument concealed in the loft, now is the time to learn what you love and join the music! Instruments are also available for hire.
We meet from around 7:15pm - 9:15pm in The Drummond Room in Broughton St Mary’s Parish Church.
The Drummond Room can be found by going down the path on the right hand side of the church, buzzing the buzzer to get in, and then entering the building and following the corridor left and then left again.
