Repair Café
Bring along your damaged or broken clothing, textile items, or electronics, and our experienced sewers and technicians will help you fix them.
Repair education is central to our mission to reduce waste, empowering individuals and communities with skills to repair and reuse their belongings and improve their lives, for all of their lives.
Our free weekly Repair Café runs every Friday from 11:00am-1:00pm
During this time, you can bring along your broken or damaged clothing, textiles and electronic items, and our team of menders will help you fix them!
What can we fix?
Sewing repairs
Our experienced sewers can help with repairs and alterations to textiles and clothing items, such as replacing buttons and zips, sewing on a patch, mending a rip, taking up trousers or a dress, or fixing a hem.
Electronic repairs
Our Hardware Repair technicians and volunteers can help with any kind of broken Tech including laptops, desktops, monitors, Macs, and game consoles.
(Please note that we cannot help with general electrical goods such as toasters, lamps, irons, hair straighteners, hoovers, etc, and are not able to help with software issues such as WordPress, Photoshop, etc.)
These drop-in sessions are held at our hub in Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre and are run on a first-come first serve basis so there’s no need to make an appointment.
Whilst these sessions are free, if you can afford to do so we ask that you support us with a small donation for each item fixed. This helps us to share more of these valuable skills and repair opportunities with members of the community who may not otherwise be able to afford them.
