Covid-19 UPDATE...
New admissions
Our homes are now accepting new admissions. All new residents are being asked to take a test for the virus – ideally prior to admission, or at the beginning of their stay. Residents will be cared for in isolation during the first fourteen days of their stay, and will be supported under our Fourteen Day Promise. This promise ensures new residents do not feel isolated and includes support for daily video or phone calls with family, an enhanced in-room dining service, family involvement in care planning and a personalised lifestyle and activities programme agreed upon arrival.
Built in 1974, Queen’s Bay Lodge offers round-the-clock residential care for 28 adults, in a comfortable home surrounded by spacious mature gardens.
It is readily accessible by car, and we enjoy excellent bus and train links into the city centre.

Accommodation you can feel at home in
We have 28 single bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities. They are situated on both the ground and first floor, with a lift between floors. You are welcome to personalise your room with your own furnishings and belongings if you wish to.
Our communal space includes two lounges and a spacious dining room. One of the lounges opens onto a patio area where you can enjoy sunny days to the full. There are also two communal bathrooms with assisted bathing and showering facilities.
Catering
We provide all your meals at Queen’s Bay Lodge and you can choose to eat in your room or in the attractive dining room.
Our catering team prepares meals on site using fresh seasonal produce. We change the menu every 4 weeks, reflecting the changing seasons as well as the tastes and dietary requirements of our residents.
Activities and Outings
We offer structured activities throughout the day. We have an activity coordinator who designs a bespoke activity plan for each resident.
We also arrange regular outings within the local area and further afield are also arranged, either in groups or on a one-to-one basis with your key worker.
Providing short breaks
We can also provide short breaks and respite care when we have rooms available.
