Streetwork...
Detached youth work, on the street, to meet and talk to young people and offer alternatives to risk-taking behaviour.
Streetwork aims to meet and talk to young people who are not engaging in community based youth work provision. Building professional, supportive relationships with young people who are isolated or who may be involved in risk-taking behaviour and encourage them to participate in more positive activities.
The team goes out 3-4 times a week between 6:00pm-9:00pm or 5:00-8:00pm in Granton, Royston, Pilton, Muirhouse and Drylaw.
