We’re always looking for creative ways to enhance the lives of our residents. In 2012 we were proud open The Craft Café in an unused Chapel which is attached to Marian House. Now lovingly restored to its former glory, it has become a fantastic place for those wishing to socialise and express their creativity.
Run in partnership with Impact Arts, the Café is open on a Tuesday and welcomes all residents, friends and family.
The cafés are safe, welcoming spaces for people to socialise and express their creativity. From painting and drawing to jewellery making and sculpture, our Craft Cafés bridge the gap between care and housing support, creating a vibrant creative space and improving social interaction.
It is a relaxed and friendly environment where older people age 60+ can come along for a cup of tea and try their hand at a various artistic and creative techniques, whatever their experience or level of ability.
Workshops run from 10:00am - 12:00pm and 1:30pm - 4:00pm.
Workshops are entirely free.
