Meetings, Conferences, Training Courses, Rehearsals, Performances, Activities or Social Events. We can help! We have three halls and a meeting room that can serve your needs.
But more than just renting space, you can contribute to a Community of User Groups in order to share experiences and potentially clients as well. This is part of the uniqueness of this venue as we strive to enable the best support to local people as possible.
By holding your event or renting a desk here, you help to promote social enterprise, create employment for people facing barriers to mainstream opportunities, and support community & wellbeing activities and events.
Facilities
We have three main halls and a meeting room that are available for rent at reasonable rates, with discounts available for long term or regular bookings plus support will be given to charitable organisations. Prices differ for daytime weekday hires and evening/weekend hires, and we can offer hourly, 1/2 day and full day rates depending on your requirements.
Sanctuary...
In addition to the main Sanctuary, there is a foyer area plus a raised chancel area at the front which increases flexibility of usage.
Usage: Suitable for Worship, Rehearsals, Concerts or Large Conferences.

- Capacity: 30
- Wheelchair Access: Fully accessible, via the main entrance and lift to second floor

- £22 per hr + VAT Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.
- £27.50 per hr + VAT out with the above times.

- £17.60 per hr + VAT Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.

St Ninians Hall..
A naturally lit hall suitable for a variety of uses.
Usage: Suitable for Social Events, Meetings, Training Courses, Small Conferences, Fitness, Dance or Rehearsals.
- Dimensions: 11.8m long x 8m wide (approx 94 square metres)
- Seating Capacity: 60 theatre style / 60 cabaret style
- Wheelchair Access: Fully wheelchair accessible via the main entrance.
Standard / One-off bookings:
- £27.50 per hr + VAT Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.
- £35.00 per hr + VAT outwit the above times.
Registered Charities:
- £22 per hr + VAT Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.
- £28 per hr + VAT out with the above times.
Cowan Room...
Part of the former Church Officers flat that was converted to offices and meeting space in 2016. It is accessed off Brown Street, or via the Social Enterprise Hub. Named after Rev William Cowan, first minister of Charteris Memorial Church in 1912. A bright naturally lit room which is flexible in its use.
Usage: Board Meetings, Small Training Courses, Small Group Meetings.

- Seating Capacity: 30 theatre style / 20 boardroom style
- Wheelchair Access: Ramp Access via the Brown Street Entrance

Baillie Room...
A bright naturally lit room which is flexible in its use.
Usage: Suitable for Board Meetings, Small Training Courses, Small Group Meetings.

- Seating Capacity: 20 theatre style / 15 boardroom style
- Wheelchair Access: Fully accessible, via the main entrance and lift to first floor.

Binks Hall...
Dimensions: 15.7m long x 11.1m wide (174 square metres)
Seating Capacity: 200 theatre style / 120 cabaret style
Wheelchair Access: Fully accessible, via the main entrance and platform lift.

- £50 per hr + VAT Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm.
- £55 per hr + VAT out with the above times.
Registered Charities:
- £40 per hr + VAT Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.
- £44 per hr + VAT out with the above times.
Life Church Hall...
Dimensions: 14m long x 14m wide (196 square metres)
Maximum Capacity: 120 main floor / 130 balcony
Wheelchair Access: Ramp access, via the main entrance, to the ground floor of the hall.
Standard / One-off bookings:
- £45 per hr Monday to Saturday.
- Hall is not available on Sundays.
Catering...
You are free to provide your own catering for your event but we can also provide for your needs in association with our sister organisation, the Grassmarket Community Project.
