Helpline Support Assistants contribute to the core charitable element of AMIS by helping make our helpline welcoming, inclusive, informative and responsive to all men and their children across Scotland.
Local Heroes is a new initiative funded by the Tudor Trust to involve volunteers in outreach work further building community links, raising awareness of AMIS’s work and increasing capacity to work with male victims through forming effective partnerships with other services to reach men and their families in targeted communities.
Fundraising: we are interested in hearing from people with an interest and/or skills in fundraising to help support our cause and development. AMIS is keen to develop its potential to secure funds and provide opportunities for volunteers to engage with new and established fundraising events.
Publicity Materials: we welcome people with a flair and/or interest to help create posters, flyers and accurate and appropriate publicity materials to support our activities.
Social Media Assistants: volunteer opportunities to help increase our web presence, update and respond to social media content and reach out further with news of our work and help us connect with harder to reach service users.
If you feel you have any other specific skills from which we can benefit and would like to find out more, then please call our office on 0131 447 7449 or email volunteer@amis.org.uk. Volunteers are not limited to one role as there may be a crossover of skills required as AMIS delivers its current and future work.
