Without volunteers who give their time to NCT, we wouldn’t be able to support parents in local communities.
Our network of over 4,500 volunteers arrange regular activities that boost the wellbeing of over 106,000 parents each year and help build communities.
Our family-friendly, flexible approach to volunteering means that you too could join our NCT family. How much time you can give is completely up to you. It’s a great way to join a like-minded community, develop new skills and have some fun.
You don’t need to be an NCT member or be a parent to volunteer, we’d love you to be involved.
Our commitment to you
The welfare and safety of individuals is at that heart of everything that we do. We ensure that everybody who engages with our services, activities and events are safe and protected. This includes pregnant women, their partners, babies, children and new parents, as well as our staff, volunteers, students and practitioners. We are committed to safeguarding excellence and have a continuous improvement programme in place to review our safeguarding practices.
We are committed to zero discrimination both internally and externally regardless of visible or invisible difference such as sex, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, disability, impairment, learning difference or long-term condition, religion or belief, gender identity, economic class, marital/civil partnership, family status including single and all parents, socio-economic background and pregnancy and maternity.
Volunteering roles
Our local NCT community activities are run by volunteers like you.
Please see https://www.nct.org.uk/get-involved/volunteering.
Peer support and national roles
In some areas NCT has funding to deliver specific services for parents. Many of these involve the recruitment and training of peer support volunteers. Find out more about these volunteering opportunities here.
Do you have skills or experience that you can offer NCT on a national or strategic level? Let us know.
