information SERVICE DETAILS

Come and take a walk through the woods and discover the plants around you.

We can forage and learn about their many uses.

Meet at the end of Castleview Avenue at the junction with Craigmillar castle gardens at the park entrance.

This is a weekly walking group, meeting at the same place, same time.

We will be walking at a gentle pace and there will be breaks for tea and snacks on route.

Foraging workshops led by Karin - find out about edible and useful weeds.

Learn how to collect seeds that can then be grown at home, grown in window boxes or allotments to eat.

Collected flowers and leaves of the Rose bay willow herb to make tea and collect a variety of stuff to make a vinegar.

All walkers will be given a sketchbook, pencils and a print of a hand drawn route map.

FREE to attend but please let us know you’re coming, either email Louise at louise@craigmillarnow.com or text/call Karin at 07824 838 364.
