As inevitably our vital face to face support work has had to be paused, keeping in touch with our service users/Members and reaching out to the wider community has become even more critical.
We are delighted to be launching our Wellbeing Project, funded by the Scottish Government Wellbeing Fund. This project will enhance our capacity to maintain regular contact with our client groups, particularly those more susceptible to COVID-19; to phone and reach out to more local vulnerable families mostly – but not exclusively – from Black/Minority Ethnic (BME) communities and offer a range of personal supports to those in distress.
We are now able to extend our provision of Meditation and Mindfulness Group Sessions as well as one-to-one Counselling Sessions to address anxiety and stress. All sessions will be delivered by trained and registered specialists. We welcome the collaboration and support offered by the Wester Hailes Health Agency.
This project will also enhance digital inclusion for our target communities and enable more vulnerable people to access devices and support, information, and a variety of services online.
To find out more please contact Bahiya on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0131 442 2341. Also, if you are aware of a household in need, please do make a referral. As new needs emerge, we are working hard and constantly bringing new services on stream. At the very least, we will almost always be able to signpost people to appropriate help.
