Dean and Cauvin Trust is one of Edinburgh’s oldest charities, established in 1733 by merchants in the city to rescue children and young people from the streets who were begging and prostituting themselves to survive.
Residential Child Care
Dean and Cauvin Trust provides residential Child care to young people 15-19 years, across our two residential services at Portland Street (Leith) and Cauvin House (Meadowbank).
The ethos of our residential units is about ‘working together & learning together’. Young people are encouraged and supported to develop the life skills, resilience and confidence to move towards less supported accommodation, whilst having a safe place to make independent choices and mistakes.
Portland Street Supported Accommodation
Portland Street is a residential home catering for 5 young people aged 15 years and upwards.
