Children's Music Classes in Edinburgh for pre-school, primary and secondary age groups.

Saturday morning classes in musical play, musical workshop, musical foundations, musicianship, recorder, violin, viola, cello, choir, string orchestra, chamber music.

Plus occasional special events and courses.

Although all teaching is done in groups, children are encouraged to take individual instrumental lessons out with EYM where this is appropriate. In addition to employing teaching staff, EYM also employs assistants to help with many of the classes - usually students or senior pupils.

All classes take place at St Thomas of Aquin's High School, close to Edinburgh City Centre. As well as using teaching rooms, Edinburgh Young Musicians also has the use of the staff room which is available as a waiting room for parents and children and which also houses a self-service coffee shop, organised by parents. The school hall is used on an occasional basis for concerts.
