Colinton Local History Society

Colinton Local History Society was founded 35 years ago to record the history of the ancient Parish of Colinton. Since then, our members have carried out various research projects covering gravestone inscriptions, census records and old photographs. We are currently busy digitising our extensive archive and working on an oral history of the Parish.

We hold meetings twice a month between October and March, and invite guest speakers to talk to us on a variety of historical subjects covering both local and Scottish history.
