information DESCRIPTION

A project run by Granton Parish Church and funded through the Church of Scotland Go For It fund and the Robertson Trust. Working with the local community of Granton to ‘Go Greener’.

Granton Parish Church is part of the Eco Congregation network, joining a worldwide movement which helps churches make the link between environmental issues, Christian faith and demonstrating our own commitment to better stewardship of the earth’s resources.

In 2018 we were awarded funding from the Climate Challenge Fund to set up the Granton Goes Greener project which will look at ways we could reduce CO2 emissions within our existing buildings and at working with the local community of Granton to ‘Go Greener’.

Anna Baran is our Community Engagement Officer for the project and works for Granton Goes Greener four days a week.

We are well served by public transport and there is plenty of unrestricted car and cycle parking available.

We encourage visitors to use public transport and cycles to come to our church.

There are Sheffield cycle racks and when these are full there are plenty of railings for locking bikes to.

The church is served by Lothian Buses numbers 8, 14 and 19.
