We are a charity that supports people of all ages to make positive changes in their lives.
The people we support may have gone through hard times, difficult family circumstances, or personal struggles, which has a knock-on effect on their happiness, wellbeing, and independence.
We are here to support people to feel happier, safer, and more confident to take steps to improve their own lives. This is why our whole approach is about creating trusting relationships and nurturing people’s strengthens. We put a person’s emotional needs at the heart of our support and this is reflected across everything we do.
Rooted in the hearts of local communities across Scotland, our services help to:
- Prevent homelessness through supportive and safe places to call home
- Help people become more independent with community based support
- Improve people’s mental health and wellbeing through mentoring and counselling
Broomhouse Supported Accommodation Service...
We provide temporary supported accommodation for single adults aged 16 - 25 who are homeless.
In today's society young people are faced with a variety of social problems. Working with a vulnerable client group is challenging and highlights the social need for supported housing.
The staff at the Broomhouse Project recognise this challenge and continue to work to provide a safe environment. Service users are treated with equality and offered information and support to help them move towards independent living.
In conjunction with our sister projects in Pilton and West Pilton, all of which are geared towards helping homeless adults make informed choices.
Finally, we aim to help residents develop their full potential through recreation, sports, and vocational and/or educational pursuits.
