DESCRIPTION
The Southside Community Council is a group of people who care about our community and want to make the area a better place to live. We have an important role in local democracy. We represent the views of local people on South Central Neighbourhood Partnership and convey these views to the City of Edinburgh Council and other organisations.
The Community Council is always keen to hear from local people, and want more people to get involved in our work.
We usually meet once a month and between meetings, organise local projects that help the community or improve the area. All Community Council meetings are open to members of the public and the press.
Community Councils are apolitical and cannot make any representations along political party lines.
