St Columba's Hospice

The Hospice was first opened in 1977 - almost 46 years ago.

St Columba’s Hospice is an exemplary provider of specialist palliative care for thousands of people with life-limiting illnesses in Edinburgh and the Lothians annually, while also providing support to their relatives and loved ones.

St Columba’s Hospice Care provides hospice and end-of-life care for people with incurable illnesses and their families. The Hospice Team offers our services to those who need it most, no matter where they are across Edinburgh and the Lothians - be that at home, in care settings or at the Hospice.

While we are partially funded and supported by NHS Lothian, the majority of our funding continues to rely on the generosity of our supporters and local community.

Far more than four walls

We are continuing to offer our community new, flexible and person-centred services, working to ensure we provide care to those who need it the most, where they need it.
