DESCRIPTION
St John Ogilvie's Church is a Roman Catholic parish situated in the Wester Hailes area of Edinburgh Scotland, We serve the areas of Baberton, Calders, Clovenstone, Dumbryden, Hailesland, Murrayburn, Sighthill, Westburn and Wester Hailes.
The parish was established in 1970 with the current Church building being opened in 1978.
From 1970 to 1980 Fr John McQuade SJ was Parish Priest. From 1980 the Parish has been served by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
The parish is part of the Oblate Centre of Mission Edinburgh which also includes St Mary's, Star of the Sea, Leith and the Priests of both parishes
