DESCRIPTION
Vintage Vibes is a fresh way of tackling isolation and loneliness among the over 60's in Edinburgh – reaching out to people across the city, offering companionship, reliable support and the opportunity to be more socially connected.
Vintage Vibes is an award-winning partnership project between LifeCare Edinburgh and The Broomhouse Centre and Enterprises part funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and Comic Relief.
Started in 2015, Vintage Vibes tackles isolation and loneliness among over 60s (called our VIPs) in Edinburgh by creating long lasting one to one friendships offering support, companionship and the opportunity for VIPs to be more socially connected and active in their local community.
The service uses volunteers from all walks of life and backgrounds – our Vibes Volunteers – and matches them with over 60's who want to use the service, our Vibes VIPs.
